Here’s the trip we are hoping to take. It’s a modified (and shortened) version of the American Cycling Association’s Northern Tier route.

I am looking forward to reading this blog all summer. I think you will really enjoy Day 1. Bainbridge Island up to Port Townsend is a beautiful part of Washington State. On Day 2, make sure to stop for a photo at Deception Pass. This is the northern tip of Whidby Island as you pass onto Fidalgo Island. Finally, I think you will be surprised by the Okanogan Valley on the other side of the Cascade Mountains. It is very different from Western Washington. Best of luck

Love reading your posts so far. By the way, you’ll be passing within 5 miles of my parents’ house in Edina, MN!

Hi Nancee! It was great to meet you in Phelps. Yes, we will be home on Saturday and are starting to get nervous about real life! Glad you’re enjoying the blog and I hope all is well in Phelps (or Arizona if you’ve left Phelps).
